Returns & Refunds Policy

Introduction

Farolini Limited (“Farolini”, “we”, “our”) is committed to offering exceptional lighting products and outstanding customer service. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains the terms under which returns, exchanges, and refunds may be processed. It complies with relevant UK consumer legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Definitions

“Customer” refers to any individual or business purchasing from Farolini.

“Goods” refers to lighting fixtures, fittings, and accessories supplied by Farolini.

“Special orders” refer to custom-made, bespoke, or non-stock items sourced specifically at the Customer’s request.

“Resalable condition” means unused, undamaged, unmarked, and complete with original packaging.

Return Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 30 calendar days from delivery or collection.
  • Goods must be unused, in perfect working order, and in resalable condition.
  • Packaging must be unmarked, undamaged, and free of adhesive labels or pen marks.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless proven faulty under UK law:

  • Special Orders, bespoke fittings, custom finishes, or made-to-order items.
  • Clearance or ex-display goods (unless agreed in writing).
  • Any electrical item that has been wired, installed, or altered.

Farolini reserves the right to determine whether an item is classed as a Special Order.

Customer Responsibilities for Returns

  • Goods must be returned at the Customer’s expense and risk.
  • Farolini does not provide return shipping unless otherwise agreed.
  • Goods must be securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
  • Farolini is not responsible for lost or damaged returns.

Inspection of Returned Goods

All returned goods undergo an inspection process, which may take up to 7 working days.

Items failing inspection due to damage, markings, usage, or missing components will be rejected.

Rejected goods must be collected or redelivered at the Customer’s expense.

Refund & Credit Options

A. 100% Store Credit
Customers may choose a full-value store credit, valid for 3 years, non-transferable and non-refundable.

B. Refund with Handling Fee
A refund can be issued to the original payment method, minus a 15% handling and restocking fee. Initial delivery charges are non-refundable.

30-Day Window

All returns must be logged and dispatched within 30 days.

Proof of dispatch may be required.

Goods returned outside this timeframe will not be processed unless required by statutory rights.

Faulty Goods

This policy does not affect statutory rights.

If goods appear faulty, the Customer must notify Farolini promptly, ideally within 30 days.

Farolini may request photographs or additional information.

Where goods are found faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Farolini will offer one of the following:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or accidental damage is not considered a manufacturing fault.

Proof of Purchase

A valid receipt, invoice, or order confirmation is required for all returns. Returns without proof of purchase may be refused.

Handling Non-Compliant Returns

If goods do not meet the conditions of this Policy:

  • The Customer will be notified in writing.
  • Goods may be collected or redelivered at the Customer’s cost.
  • Uncollected goods may be disposed of after 60 days.

Title & Risk

Ownership transfers to the Customer at delivery or collection.

Risk remains with the Customer until goods are received and approved by Farolini.

Amendments to this Policy

Farolini may revise this Policy at any time. Updated versions will be displayed in-store and online. Changes apply to future purchases unless required by law to apply retrospectively.

Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
